Argon Laser

In imaging, a strong, directional bluish laser light used to generate images on orthochromatic or blue-sensitive film, paper, or plates. An argon laser is commonly used in lieu of a helium-neon laser, as blue-sensitive paper—unlike the red-sensitive paper used with helium-neon lasers—can be handled safely in red or yellow light.
