Blockout Solution

In screen printing, a water-based glue or other fluid applied to the surface of the screen fabric between the edges of the stencil and the frame which, when dry, will prevent ink transfer in non-image areas. In short print runs, a paper mask prepared from kraft paper is often used in lieu of blockout solution. Blockout solution is also known as blockout compound and blockout filler.
