A three-dimensional coordinate system which plots three different color qualities (generally hue, value, and chroma, but the names vary according to the specific color system) on x, y, and z axes. Thus, any given color sample can be quantitatively measured, plotted, and consequently described by a single point located somewhere on the coordinate system. Specific color spaces utilized include the CIE color space and Munsell color space.
