Copy is also used to refer generally to any other page elements—including illustrations, photographs, etc.—that will need to be prepared and assembled, although the term commonly is used to refer strictly to text.
The term copy also means to reproduce any original, be it via simple photocopying or by printing. Copy is also used to refer to the duplicate itself. Digital files and disks can also be copied.
