Digital Video Effects

In video production, a hardware device used to edit video in digital form, used especially to add special effects such as transitions between scenes (such as dissolves and wipes). The device includes a frame grabber to capture and digitize analog video as well as a genlock to convert it back to analog form after editing. Abbvreviated DVE.
