Forwarding

In case binding, any of a variety of operations performed on a book block between thread sewing and casing-in. Forwarding procedures can include rounding, backing, back gluing, edge treatment, and/or headbanding. See Case Binding.

In networking, forwarding refers to the act of transferring a data packet from one local area network to another by means of a bridge.
