Isophorone

A compound in the ketone family—chemical formula C9H16O—produced by the condensation of acetone and used as a solvent in printing inks (such as those used in screen printing) containing vinyl resins, cellulose esters, and other such substances, due to its high solvent power and high boiling point. It is also mixed with other, less powerful solvents for use as a retarder in some lacquer formulations.
