Splicer

In web offset lithography, a device attached to the roll stand of a web press which automatically splices a new paper roll to the end of an expiring roll. A splicer may either be a flying splicer or a zero-speed splicer. See Web Offset Lithography: Infeed and Web Control: Splicing. Also known as a paster.
