Trimming

A paper finishing operation following sheeting, or the cutting of manufactured paper rolls into individual sheets. Trimming is necessary in sheeting systems that do not generate accurate sheet sizes. Trimming is usually performed on a guillotine cutter, which reduces the sheeted paper to the exact size specified by the customer. The use of precision sheeting, which utilizes more accurate sheeting devices, removes the need for the secondary operation of trimming.
